Neuromotor re-education within physiotherapy scope
Step 3: Data Sufficiency
Is there sufficient clinical data to make a treatment decision?
Consider: Is the patient in an acute phase? Are there unresolved diagnostic questions? Is additional imaging or specialist input needed before proceeding?
Step 4: Informed Consent
Does the patient consent to a time-limited intervention (3–5 sessions)?
Patient must understand: this is a trial period. Continuation requires demonstrated objective improvement. Treatment is not indefinite.
Step 5: Goal Assessment
Are the patient's goals functional (not pain-only)?
Functional goals: "I want to return to running," "I need to lift my child," "I want to climb stairs without assistance." Pain-only goals ("I just want the pain to stop") without functional context are insufficient.
